I've been busy...

Lamanya tak tulis. My last rambles were on the 18th March. That's like more than two weeks ago. I've been so busy, super duper busy....Classes are finally over. Thank God!! Tapi assignments ada 2 lagi tak siap. Matilah mek!!! Meeting the rest of my course mates tomorrow to finish the darn things.

The last two weekends have been well spent. One week, we went to Cineleisure to try and catch a movie. Takder tickets so we end up at one of the outlets there, shooting hoops, playing silly fun games, playing foosbal and also karaoke. Turned out to be massive fun! Lamanyer rasa tak kuar dengan the kids and do all these fun stuff! we also hung out at Amir and Fiza's place that nite and managed to catch excerpts of the first AF concerts. Hampeh seme bebudak tu menyanyi. Kak Ogy is one of the permanent jurors and she's doing a great job. Managed to text her to tell her so.

Last weekend I managed to catch the sale at Ikea. Belikan birthday present for my sister. Dia nak this rectangle shaped kuali. Nasib baik pergi. Tinggal satu jer.. Memang rezeki dia lah.. Visited mummy and daddy in Kelana Jaya. Had tea there with lots of fat laden kuih and stuff. Yummy,yummy...Gemuklah hidup...

Work has been very, very hectic. With JC not around I found myself sitting in meetings yang ntah apa-apa...nak buat macamana dah kerje...at least tak makan gaji buta lah ek?? Travelling for work again this April. Mixed feelings on this one. One thing's for sure it's gonna be a tiring trip and I'm gonna be leaving my babies for at least 10 days. Huwahhhhhh!!!!

U got another 2 babies yang u tinggal kat opis ni jugak huwwaaa... who else Fayzrul and poor zaida yang cakit belakang hahahaha...

Burp! Alhamdulillah... dah berbuka semua? We berbuka at home today. Actually since puasa started 9 days ago, memang kami berbuka at home. We prefer it that way. Tak kelam kabut nak solat maghrib di luar although Alhamdulillah sekarang ni banyak tempat berbuka dah provide tempat bersolat. Tapi mana boleh beat buka at home, lepas buka boleh terus lepak-lepak atas katil solat Maghrib kan? kan? So we either tapao from one of the shops near home or wherever we fancy or I would cook simple stuff for buka. Today our menu was : our usual brown rice, ikan goreng selar kuning (yellow thread fish), kangkung goreng belacan ( water spinach fried with prawn paste chilli), acar buah (bought from my cousin) , my husband’s telur dadar (omellete) and for sweets, I made jemput jemput . This is what we call these banana balls or orang belah sini panggil cekodok (I could never associate this beauties with an animal name, though... kodok sounds kinda gross). Japan, April 2018

I was in Tokyo last month. Alone... well there were millions of people in Japan but yeah I was travelling alone. Up till the night I boarded the plane, I was still asking myself “Oi! Apasal nak pergi sorang arr? Japan pulak tu... London kan senang? Gang ramai, semua cakap English” Ok panic kejap tapi tak boleh keluar kapal terbang dah.. So, yup, there I was on that MH night flight with an itinerary for 8 days in Japan. No turning back, perempuan! April was my birthday month and what I wanted was to spend it quietly alone. Anyway, last year I had enough birthday celebrations to last me till this year. Alhamdulillah for good friends and family! Sampai Narita at almost 7am. First time in Tokyo and how do I buy a train card? With a lot of asking (ayam and itik bercakap) and hand gestures. Salam Ramadan

Assalamualaikum and Salam Ramadan! Wow! Hello! Am back! Been a while. 6th day of Ramadan and I’ve been quite good (I think) managing my food intake. Saya sudah tua la; have to start being more serious about what I put in this old engine. So, I was in a 10 days detox program just before Ramadan and managed to bring the weight down by 2.7kg; not much but good for me as it has sort of kick off a better eating habit. People who knows me are well aware that I love food. I used to run a lot so the weight was somehow kept in check. Now that I have significantly decrease my running mileage, the weight has become quite stagnant if not, moved up a bit! Eek! So for those interested, this is my go-to recipe for sahur, which is super easy and super healthy. It’s the Chia Seed Pudding. Lots of recipes online but here’s mine: I use a mason jar this.
