Good vs Bad

For each bad stuff that has happened in my life, I could think of at least 7 good ones...not bad eh?!


1. Me and hubby watched the "Then & Now" Concert in Genting, which we enjoyed immensely coz after almost 2 decades of waiting, Howard Jones, Limahl, Paul Young and Bananarama came to our shore to perform. Pedulik lah dia orang dah tua... Paul Young can still do a body slamming slide, Limahl as he said it still has nice butts and Howard Jones still sound as good as he did yonks ago....Wooohoooooo!!!! and Bananarama probably had face lifts (jealous!!!)

2. Boss announced our bonuses and I managed a 4.68 months. Yay!!! Akak kayo!! Thanks boss!!!



3. I bought new stuff which includes lots and lots of CDs, handbag, jewellery...call me lame...but these are motivating factors for hard work..

4. I managed at least once a week yoga the past few weeks

5. I'll be back in JB this 19th for SIGS, JB alumni get together



6. Old bosses parted ways for greener pastures (hopefully) and in place are new bosses that rocks and exudes the feel good factors

7. One of the most important press conferences this year, has successfully taken place today, thanks to my competent team mates..People watch out for KEMUNCAK SEGALA-GALANYA this May!!

8. Having good company around, almost all the time

ma'am! my mother also going for the SIGS reunion in JB!! i didn't know u from JB!! i went to St. Joseph!! go say hi to my mother... her name is Sophia Yusof (batch Form 5 1970). she says she'll be on stage singing the school song! blerghh!!

woi ma'am! i just notice on your list of links that you also know amir karim from JB!!! he my old neighbour!!! i used to play football and tangkap berudu with him and his brothers (shah and hakim) every evening after watching INSPECTOR GADGET on RTM2!! then when almost maghrib our parents will start yelling for us to go back and we will all be covered in tahi berudu and air longkang!

Burp! Alhamdulillah... dah berbuka semua? We berbuka at home today. Actually since puasa started 9 days ago, memang kami berbuka at home. We prefer it that way. Tak kelam kabut nak solat maghrib di luar although Alhamdulillah sekarang ni banyak tempat berbuka dah provide tempat bersolat. Tapi mana boleh beat buka at home, lepas buka boleh terus lepak-lepak atas katil solat Maghrib kan? kan? So we either tapao from one of the shops near home or wherever we fancy or I would cook simple stuff for buka. Today our menu was : our usual brown rice, ikan goreng selar kuning (yellow thread fish), kangkung goreng belacan ( water spinach fried with prawn paste chilli), acar buah (bought from my cousin) , my husband’s telur dadar (omellete) and for sweets, I made jemput jemput . Japan, April 2018

I was in Tokyo last month. Alone... well there were millions of people in Japan but yeah I was travelling alone. Up till the night I boarded the plane, I was still asking myself “Oi! Apasal nak pergi sorang arr? Japan pulak tu... London kan senang? Gang ramai, semua cakap English” Ok panic kejap tapi tak boleh keluar kapal terbang dah.. So, yup, there I was on that MH night flight with an itinerary for 8 days in Japan. No turning back, perempuan! April was my birthday month and what I wanted was to spend it quietly alone. Anyway, last year I had enough birthday celebrations to last me till this year. Alhamdulillah for good friends and family! Sampai Narita at almost 7am. First time in Tokyo and how do I buy a train card? With a lot of asking (ayam and itik bercakap) and hand gestures. Salam Ramadan

Assalamualaikum and Salam Ramadan! Wow! Hello! Am back! Been a while. 6th day of Ramadan and I’ve been quite good (I think) managing my food intake. Saya sudah tua la; have to start being more serious about what I put in this old engine. So, I was in a 10 days detox program just before Ramadan and managed to bring the weight down by 2.7kg; not much but good for me as it has sort of kick off a better eating habit. People who knows me are well aware that I love food. I used to run a lot so the weight was somehow kept in check. Now that I have significantly decrease my running mileage, the weight has become quite stagnant if not, moved up a bit! Eek! So for those interested, this is my go-to recipe for sahur, which is super easy and super healthy. It’s the Chia Seed Pudding. Lots of recipes online but here’s mine: I use a mason jar this.
