Let's Jom! Join Pensonic's "We Want You To Be On TV" Contest!

When I chose to step out of full time employment more than 3 years ago, I didn’t have any plans of what to do, to at least make some sort of income for myself. After months of total chilling and panicking, a friend (who also left his job before I did) asked me if I would like to cook with him for small events and parties.  At the risk of turning into a couch, I told myself “Why not?”. After all, I was already cooking more at home and I just needed to cook in bigger portions.

Akak bukan la hebat sangat pun masak-masak ni but I have always had the inclination to try out new recipes and taste plus suka makan..hehe. So we started an informal set-up, where my fried, Sid bought all the necessary catering equipment needed like chafing dishes, plates and glasses, and other cutleries. Orders started coming in through word-of-mouth of friends and acquaintances.

At the same time, I also thought it’ll be interesting to learn a related new skill, which is baking. I started going for baking classes and again started taking orders, mostly promoted through my instagram account and Bakerific Kitchen was born.

Fast forward, now, we are still cooking regularly for parties and events and have added another cooking partner to the project.  And I have attended more baking classes to improve on baking and cake decorating skills.

So I was quite excited to know about the latest happening brought to you by none other than Malaysian, renowned brand for home electrical appliances, PENSONIC.  The contest is aptly called “We Want You To Be On TV” where 7 winners will get to cook with Dato’ Chef Ismail and a local celebrity on a show called Chef Mail Masak Bersama Pensonic 2017” which will be telecast on TV3! How cool is that?

I have always admired Dato’ Chef Ismail’s repertoire of recipes, which focuses a lot on traditional fares, an area that I feel I need to improve further on. Tu lah dulu masa Mak ada lagi tak nak belajar, sebok nak masak Pasta je kau..Ni rendang pun tak pass lagi. Ni lah peluang nak belajar masak dengan Chef Mail! I have tried eating at Chef Mail's restaurant, Rebung and have only praises for the food served there. Aishhh..telan air liur la teringat..

So how do you participate?  Or more importantly, how do I take part?
Sonang je … (kata Chef Mail..)

Lepas ni akak nak cari resipi mana nak hantar untuk peraduan ni. (*cergas cari buku resipi antik). Remember to wave at me when you see me on TV with Chef Ismail ok..Boleh??

I think that it’s great that a brand such as Pensonic continues to delight its fans with programs and contests such as this. With a legacy of 52 years since its start in Penang, the brand has surely proven itself worthy of a number of awards and accolades for design excellence and branding initiatives. With 10 branches and 900 dealers nationwide, customer care and support is assured. If the products are good enough for more than 30 countries in ASEAN, East and West Asia, and the Middle-East, it should be a brand that we Malaysians should be proud of.

As with any contest out there, terms & conditions would apply for this one as well.

Jangan lupa tarikh tutup penyertaan ialah 3 Mac 2017.
