That day when I emceed at the Pensonic Chef's Like Campaign

Just before Ramadan last week , I was tasked to be the emcee for Pensonic Chef's Like Live Cooking Session in Aeon Big Bukit Rimau. Just one of those things I also do beside baking, cooking, pr and media work and etc etc etc. No easy task to juggle a slash career.


A week before the event we had a pre-event meeting  to discuss the event flow. So I came prepared as usual for my emceeing job with scripts and reference materials from the client.

Pensonic Chef's Like Campaign is very interesting and engaging indeed. Helmed by Dato's Chef Haji Ismail, a Pensonic Friend, who's a known food ambassador, the campaign is made interesting with Chef Mail's friendly and cheerful character. Siapa tak kenal Chef Mail kan? He's already a Malaysian household name.

On the event day at Aeon Big Bukit Rimau, 40 participants took part in the live cooking session. Imagine having all the work stations complete with ingredients, kitchen utensil and more importantly Pensonic Chef's Like Multi Purpose Cooker to cook at the same time, So exciting! All these are provided for the participants and they also get to bring home the dish that they cooked plus the Pensonic Multi Cooker that they used! Best kan!



Participants who are customers of Aeon Big were taught the recipe for Green Chicken Rendang from scratch. Untunglah Chef Mail ajar dari mula panaskan multi cooker sampailah rendang siap, lepas tu boleh bawak balik rendang! The smell of the Green Chicken Rendang was so appetizing and mouth watering! Chef Mail juga berkongsi pelbagai tips masakan sambil bermesra dengan para peserta. Yang selfie, wefie pun ramai! I lah tuuu..


I was informed that the last season of Pensonic Chef's Like Campaign had 500 participants in a similar cook-along session. Mesti lagi havoc and meriah tu! This year's Pensonic Season 4 Chef's Like Campaign Live Cooking Tour which has started in April and will continue till July 2017 will be rewarding customers who has been supporting Pensonic dealers; such as the one held for Aeon Big customers. 

There are still opportunities to take part in the mass cook-along and personally meet Tourism Malaysia's aunthentic Malay Cuisine Ambassador, Pensonic Friend Dato' Chef Haji Ismail at selected dealers' outlets. Here are the remaining venues that you can look out for:

CHEF MAIL MASAK BERSAMA PENSONIC

Ha yang ni pulak program masakan di TV setiap hari Isnin pukul 6 petang. Dah start dah. Ada yang dah tengok? Uniknya program ni, Chef Ismail memasak dengan pemenang peraduan "We Want You To Be On TV" yang telah dianjurkan Pensonic melalui Facebook mereka. I tak menang uols...so tak boleh masuk TV..sentap! Dia orang cuma perlu hantar resipi dan tunjukkan cara-cara memasak untuk menang dan masuk TV tau..



8 episod ini memaparkan mereka memasak bersama Chef Mail dan juga setiap episod ada selebriti-selebriti 'hot' yang juga memasak bersama. Saksikanlah selebriti seperti  Mark Adam, Ezuwan Ismail, Amy Mastura, Kilafairy, Kaka Azraff, Azad Jasmin, Fahrin Ahmad, Rita Rudaini, Raja Afiq, Emily Lim, Alan Yun dan Amber Chia memasak hidangan-hidangan yang menyelerakan bersama Chef Ismail. Lepas kita tengok program, ada pulak peraduan "Tonton & Menang" dengan hadiah-hadiah yang vassss dari Pensonic ok..Bulan Ramadan ni anda boleh juga menonton episod-episod ini setiap hari Isnin, pukul 10 malam di laman Faceboook Pensonic.

My friends know that I am a cooking enthusiasts so I always love gadgets and appliances that can make cooking easier. I had the opportunity to see all the lifestyle kitchen appliances under the Chef's Like range and I absolutely love the simple and elegant lines. Plus they come in my favourite color too! Purple! With kitchen appliances such as these, Pensonic is actually encouraging more people to cook and prepare their own healthy home-cooked meals for family and friends. After all, good food are better eaten together kan? At least, I believe that!

Burp! Alhamdulillah... dah berbuka semua? We berbuka at home today. Actually since puasa started 9 days ago, memang kami berbuka at home. We prefer it that way. Tak kelam kabut nak solat maghrib di luar although Alhamdulillah sekarang ni banyak tempat berbuka dah provide tempat bersolat. Japan, April 2018

I was in Tokyo last month. Alone... well there were millions of people in Japan but yeah I was travelling alone. Up till the night I boarded the plane, I was still asking myself “Oi! Apasal nak pergi sorang arr? Japan pulak tu... London kan senang? Gang ramai, semua cakap English” Ok panic kejap tapi tak boleh keluar kapal terbang dah.. So, yup, there I was on that MH night flight with an itinerary for 8 days in Japan. No turning back, perempuan! April was my birthday month and what I wanted was to spend it quietly alone. Anyway, last year I had enough birthday celebrations to last me till this year. Alhamdulillah for good friends and family! Sampai Narita at almost 7am. First time in Tokyo and how do I buy a train card? With a lot of asking (ayam and itik bercakap) and hand gestures. Salam Ramadan

Assalamualaikum and Salam Ramadan! Wow! Hello! Am back! Been a while. 6th day of Ramadan and I’ve been quite good (I think) managing my food intake. Saya sudah tua la; have to start being more serious about what I put in this old engine. So, I was in a 10 days detox program just before Ramadan and managed to bring the weight down by 2.7kg; not much but good for me as it has sort of kick off a better eating habit. People who knows me are well aware that I love food. I used to run a lot so the weight was somehow kept in check. Now that I have significantly decrease my running mileage, the weight has become quite stagnant if not, moved up a bit! Eek! So for those interested, this is my go-to recipe for sahur, which is super easy and super healthy. It’s the Chia Seed Pudding. Lots of recipes online but here’s mine: I use a mason jar this.
