Tak kuasa kan siap ada part 2..Well, it's not everyday that I blog..And warning, this will be almost an essay.. So after the first audition (please read part 1 if you are lost), we were waiting for the company to call us and when they did a few weeks later..in 2011 (first audition was in 2010 hehehe..), it was for Khairin to come for another audition. So by that time, she was already quite busy with other voice over jobs for ASTRO, and we were worried if we could not commit to the schedule.  And we were almost 70% sure that we better not go for the 2nd audition because of this. But we were 70% curious as well, so that Saturday we went again. This time the shortlisted kids were given lines to read and dance steps to follow. That lasted almost the whole day and again we were sent home with not very definite YES or NO. That 's our girl (extreme right) , obviously nervous We were privileged to get seats to the preview of LAT Sebuah Muzikal on Tuesday night, a day before it opens for the public.Our third child, Khairin has always been interested in dancing and singing but she has always been shy to perform in front of an audience. It was not until lately that she developed the courage to do so. I think watching GLEE has a lot to do with this change. When I found out through Christina (Mrs Afdlin) FB wall that Tall Order is having an open audition for kids for the musical, i asked her if she wants to try. Amazingly, she said yes immediately but not without asking what she has to do at the audition. And I told her, they will probably ask her to sing or dance a bit and she asked if it will be in a big group and not wanting to scare her, said I don't think so. And I was not surprised, on the morning of the audition she said, she doesn't want to go after all. So I told her I was goin...

I was awestruck and impressed, although I was earlier sceptical, which explains why I delibarately missed season 1 and 2. Budak-budak yang agak "sakai" mengambil gambar dengan casts of the show Except for Gusti Puteri Raden Adjeng Retno Dumilah's headgear which fell in one scene while she's dancing and her sometimes lari key singing, which is oh...so forgivable...I really, really enjoyed and love the show. Sultan Mahmud Melaka dan Mat Salleh yang menyamar jadi Hang Tuah...mat salleh itu matanya blue grey yer... Kudos to all that has made it as it is...just perfect... p.s the show is still on...go!! go!!

Happy New Year everyone!!! Awal Muharram has passed a few days back with us the whole family making the trip back to KL from good ole JB. Me and Hubby made a day trip to Singapore, catched "The Day The Earth Stood Still" (macam kat JB tak der cinema kan...) tapi sebenarnya the real reason for the Singapore trip was for the Beriyani and Murtabak at Arab Street which we went to twice, once upon arriving and once again before we left for JB the same night...Giler punya haru suker murtabak tuh!! And also managed to meet up some friends from KL for coffee on Orchard Road...nih tak plan punyer jumpa tau..Kat KL susah betul nak meet up.. As far as I can remember for the last almost 16 years of living in KL I have never gone to the city to witness the so-called countdown to the new year..So this year I chose to make an exception.We booked a hotel room at Impiana KLCC. My day started at 4.45am when I woke up for sahur today. Came out of the house at 6.30am and went to the gym. This is the third time since Ramadan that I went to the gym. The sessions are low in intensity but I feel that I'm working the muscles more efficiently as the weights are lighter, I really push myself. Orang kata aku sikit giler...bulan-bulan pose pergi work out...hehehe...but I feel good on the days that I went to the gym cuma ngantuk sikit lah. Last week I went for yoga which was just as good. We did the welcoming hoohaa for the news team who finally moved to this office, 10 months after our team first relocated. The first news bulletin aired for the first time from the new studio at 1pm today. The 'picket board' that my collegue did for the welcoming party along with the ballons, whistles and all things noisy. Jasmin having "first day at the new set" jitters...she was actually shaking.. We just came back from the matinee show of P.Ramlee, the musical... I felt so overwhelmed with the whole thing that I can't help crying...The last time we were in Istana Budaya for a musical was for Grease a lot of years back and I remember thinking at that time, bila lah orang Malaysia nak buat musical at this class....? Gambar di ambil masa siaran tergendala for about 3 mins..walaupun dalam IB tak boleh amek gambar.. And today, aku terpaku dan terpesona...wah...tak sangka..it was really brilliant...the set transition, the sets, the actors, the extras...gosh! they must be so proud of themselves! Singaporeans pun dah tengok produk Malaysia...Aku rasa macam terhegeh-hegeh lah pulak baru nak tengok...but seriously. I was truly impressed...Peduli lah orang lain nak cakap apa... And bilalah agaknya, kita nak ada the next P.Ramlee?? Bila lah kita nak ada HERO... tak kira dari bidang apa pun...that we can really be proud of??? Kesian kita...Nak harap Pak Lah..ehhmmm alahai...Shei...
