Goodness! How time flies...! My last entry was on the 3rd September..10 days ago! Giler malas menghupdate blog semenjak dua menjak bulan poser ni. Macam lah letih lesu sangat sampai tak boleh mengetuk keyboard kan?? Tapi memang letih nak pikir sebenarnya..Even sitting down in the office is an effort. I lived my Ramadan in a constant state of stupor...walau pun tak 'mabuk' oren bulan pose ni. Not having a maid does not help either. Most days I'll be up by 4.30am for sahur, seeing Khairin off to school at 7.15am and then later Zaim at 8.00am, camana nak tidur balik lepas sahur? Ini lah balasannya hehehe....sebab selama ni I left everything up to my trusted helper... but not complaining...am enjoying this bit when I get the chance to be closer to the kids, walaupun selama ni boleh jer...tapi I guess I take them for granted...Guilty!!! Sedih lah pulak bila teringat macam ni...Tapi kan... dulu-dulu masa aku kecik pun kengkadang Mak pun tak tunggu aku gi sekolah pun...ok jer...

Semalam saya terpaksa pergi ke Putrajaya sebab ganti boss saya yang kereta mewahnya kering minyak hitam takut tak sampai ke Putrajaya. Tukar kereta baru lar boss!! eheheheh... Hotfm pencarian lagu 1Malaysia Kita sampai ke penghujung with the announcement of Audi Mok as the winner with the winning song " Malaysia Satu"with NurFatimah penyanyi tak jadi as the lyricist. Budak Pejai anak Pak Tahir sang the winning song with much gusto sehingga menaikkan bulu roma saya. His salute at the end of the performance was something I predicted. Pak PM was shaking his body away to the song, a very nice march+pop+rockish number which beat other well known and amateur song writers and singers. Hari Merdeka ini disambut meriah oleh pembantu rumah saya yang balik ke Jawa Timur, memerdekakan dirinya dari kerja rumah, anak-anak saya dan anything that comes in between those two... Yang tak berapa nak merdeka ialah kami anak beranak sebab Ana, pembantu rumah Indonesia yang telah hampir 10 tahun bekerja dengan kami ni, memang telah cukup-cukup 'menaikkan lemak' kami... 2 bulan ini bermulalah perjuangan kami untuk buat segala-galanya sendiri...padan muka kita orang! Haru!!! I looked forward to 31st October when she comes back. That's my Merdeka!!

My neighbour who is one of the senior managers in F& N asked me for a favor to pose for the billboard a few months back. The actor was her husband. Creative conceptnya is the brand has been around for yonks and the pictures showed how the milk was enjoyed in the 70s, 80s and now...I was starring in the 70s one..(am I surprised??) The shoot was only a few hours somewhere in Kuang (ye lar pelakon pun ala-ala veteran...and it was still shots anyway). But I enjoyed it and the money was ok!! So kalau engkorang nampak billboard tu...jangan lupa tengok ar...and boleh lar claim " ha..fomfuan yang kiri sekali tu, aku kenai..." Cuma yang akak takut ada yang tak ngaku kawan jer..hehe..

Lepas tu dia tak try lagi until yesterday and at around 3.30pm I received a call from hubby suruh I call home sebab Zaim call dia nak mintak bukak puasa sambil menangis..tapi dia tak nak makan sebab takut tak dapat duit raya...hehehe...So I called home and spoke to him and told him " Adik makan lar nanti ayah will still give you duit raya" baru dia lega and said ok..Budak-budak ...apa dia tau? Yang dia tau kalau puasa dapat duit raya.. Giler seronok dapat balik JB for the first day of p...

Sekarang pukul 12.54 pagi ...Apsal aku tak boleh tido walaupun kepala sudah nyut..nyut...nyut.. Just yesterday I went to see Dr Roy, and found out that my blood pressure is a bit on the high side..Apa kes?? Dr. kata could be because I'm having problems sleeping...Yang tak boleh tidor tu pesal...?Orang lain dah sedap berdengkur...kau dok terkebil-k ebil dalam gelap... Dr kata..I could be having hormone imbalance...ye ker?? Progesterone, Estrogen...apa kejadahnya?? I am SO seeing a homeopathy practitioner back in JB this weekend! Yeay...yeay...b alik JB, balik JB...Aku nak start puasa dengan Mak..bes tnyer....Wooohooooo!!! We had a nice bonding session with the biggie bosses on Wednesday nite, with each of the 9 of us bringing something that we cooked at home...and we had a good laugh having conversations that we would other wise not have in the of fice. Hey...bosses are human after all. Our CEO's going into semi retirement while the GMD is moving on to a new place...

Ini weeekend untuk tidor!!!

Boss2 yang kena paksa pakai costume... Hit the pinata , kids.. I came back from Penang and was busy organising another get together to say farewell to our outgoing this week. Busy, busy, busy.. A lot of running around and coordinating on that but at the same time still have to attend to other things..like meetings, press conference and functions...Mak penat nyah!!! Tapi penat, penat pun rasa berbaloi tengok kengkawan sumer seronok...The theme was "Alice in Wonderland" and we really made it a wonderland!! In fact, I just had to tell them.."ok , here's the plan and these are what I need you guys to help with/ to do" and they whole heartedly jump into it...all the preparation for the singing, dance and the whole event...I HEART MY COLLEAGUES!!! Y'all, I just came back from Penang yesterday evening after spending 2 nites there. Penang has always been one of my favourite places to go for a short break so when I received a wedding invitation in the island, I quickly took the opportunity to take a quickie break... On Friday, there was quite a scare in the office after some of the sales people has been diagnosed with H1N1...coincidently my throat was feeling scratchy and I could feel a fever coming, so when I saw Dr Roy, she quickly advised me to take a day MC to rest...and rest I did...akak hentam tidoq 3 jam...and when I woke up..felt better, at least to make the trip the next day.. We arrived in Penang at around 7pm, just in time to get ready for the wedding. I wrote about my sister in law, Liz and her fight for cancer last year in August. Since then Liz has gone through chemo, mastectomy and a lot of other stuff that we didn't know about. But what's amazing about her is that she has never shown, at least to us that she's unwell or whether she was feeling uncomfortable. To our eyes, she's fine and really full of life. After one year, a few day's back she sent us an email of her story which I'm sharing here so that we can learn from it. My mantra has always been " Life is good" and I'm glad that she shares the same outlook on life as well. And this week, some of us were in Saujana, which was a nicer retreat than expected as I was foreseeing the normal drying brainstorming and it turned out to be fun with all of us doing the Michael Jackson tribute with most of the biggie bosses doing the Thriller steps. Hi, the clock shows that it's 12.02am. I just got home from arwah Kak Min's office. Malam ni ada tahlil untuk arwah. It was attended by a small group of friends and family. Mak Inom and Pak Atan was also there, together with Datin Orkid and Datuk Dr Zahari, arwah's sister and brother in law plus a few more family members. Leo Burnett was as nice as I remembered it. Soothing incandescent lighting combined with wood old school furniture was a good combination that makes an office just like home. And somehow we can feel semangat arwah in the office, after all it has only been less than 10 days since she was last there. We reached LB just before maghrib but not without missing a turn, going through maze of back lanes and making an illegal U-turn. Nasib baik Azmin ada to show me through the roads...(Azmin - expert lorong-lorong belakang mati hahahaha :-). Betul lah orang kata, kalau nak buat benda elok tu...ada jer sangkaknya. Hari ni pepagi lagi, walau pun kaki dan badan agak sakit akibat berjuang di gym semalam and insomnia tak habis, I made my way to SRK Seksyen 9 Shah Alam for our kids brand, kids@feelgoodworld school visit. We enjoyed ourselves, did what we came to do and wrapped everything up by 1.30pm. Next stop, SRK Seri Kelana, Kelana Jaya this coming Sunday... After lunch with the colleagues at SACC Mall, I met hubby in Shah Alam's EPF office. After thing's settled, he headed back to the office, while I, walau pun deep down inside terasa nak balik cover balik tidur, banished those thoughts and head to the gym. And I'm glad I took half the day off work today. Managed a run on the treadmill for 30 mins, stationary bike while reading The Star for 10 mins, 4 sets on the hip adductor and 4 sets on the abductor...phew!!! and later at 6pm joined Mr Veera's yoga class till 7pm...Sekarang terasa agak sengal big time and can't help asking myself.....boleh ke aku tidur malam n...

This is the Yasmin Ahmad that I want to remember. All jovial and smiling. I was supposed to visit arwah in DSH on Saturday, just as a moral support to Mr Tan Yew Leong but alas Allah has other plans for her. Even writing this entry is a struggle...and that's the reason I waited till today to. A friend from arwah's office called today...still in tears...I don't know how they can even stand to walk into Leo Burnett and face her now empty office. I was told that they are going to keep the office as is, for as long as possible. I can still recall how entertaining she was when we came to her room. It's like home to her, with her movie posters, her books, her picture frames, her numerous accolades. I had hopes of her recovering....resurrected...just like the commercial that she did for us...Like my boss said, hoping that life will imitate art...but again Allah has His plans for her. The last few days since she fell into a coma...I made a silent prayer after each so...

Mengikut cerita corridor talk hari ini, Kak Min jatuh pengsan at the 5th floor while making a presentation to the boss...our panel doctor rushed to attend to her but alas there was no pulse on her... Less than a while later, kecoh satu office, satu facebook, manusia- manusia cakap Kak Min dah tak ada...Berderau darah aku, ternaik bulu roma.... Lepas tu I got an sms from Kak Min's colleague to say that she's still in ICU. Bengang aku dengan manusia-manusia yang cepat jer jadi doctor tak bertauliah, announce Kak Min dah tak ada...dalam facebook lagi... Ya Allah, please if you can grant me one thing now, please let her be well again...2 losses within 2 weeks is more than I can handle...

I woke up one day a few months back and told myself " I WANT TO START RUNNING"...Bukan lari dari rumah yer...lari, lari anak...kata orang Melayu kalau orang Melayu Baru dia kata...jogging...hehehe... From that first realization of wanting to start running approximately 5 months back....yes, I ran on treadmills at the gym and that's it...After a while I avoided running prefering to surrender to the ellipticals every time I go to the gym..Yes, compared to when I was younger I can now run for longer hours at each session but somehow bila tengok treadmill, aku TAKUTTTTTT!!!!! Tapi bila a family friend of mine TSB yang kalau nak dibandingkan dengan akak, agak "horizontally challenged" - this is how he described himself ok??? pun dah sebuk berlari siap masuk triathlon, duathlon and Stand Chart Marathon lagi , aku terus teruja dan berazam nak jugak lari....nak!nak!nak!!! I will start soon........so watch out world!!! heeheehehe.......

I'm having problems sleeping....This has been going on for quite some time...I'm losing sleep over not getting enough sleep....huhuhu ....

We were at Zan Azlee and Jasmin's wedding yesterday night. I missed Jasmine's side of the wedding last week as I didn't want to travel with Mummy's condition and I'm glad I stayed around. This weekend Aisyah had to give the MU vs M'sia match and Shout Awards a miss. She had tickets for both events, wanted to go but I guess in the end her conscience got the better of her. Instead, both kids spent the weekend with their atuk in PJ. Allah bless them, insyallah... Back to the wedding; it was simply beautiful, in its own wacky way just like the couple. I simply, simply love it...from the centerpiece flowers, to the musicians, to Zan's cape, to the people who actually took the trouble to dress up in the Mexican theme. Ah...I also love the wedding cake and the fact that they had 3 or 4 pinatas that the bride and groom had the pleasure of hitting!
