The last time we were in Langkawi was during our honeymoon. It's time for a revisit I should think....our 10th anniversary is in 10 days...quite timely...I hope the place is as beautiful as the pictures.. Will write again soon...

Raya ini, first time aku masak lontong complete set dengan kuah kacang, serunding kelapa and sambal sotong yang ala-ala lontong orang beratur panjang kat pasar ramadhan seksyen 14; Raya ini, first time aku tak beli baju raya, kasut raya bagai....tak der mood...walaupun first time aku amek cuti nak dekat 2 minggu.. Raya ini, first time aku sampai rumah nenek lambat, at almost 4pm on the first day of raya, and was surprised that rupanyer rumah nenek bila petang raya lagi haru biru, orang lagi ramai; Raya ini, first time aku jumpa orang yang sambut birthday yang ke 103 tahun...how does it feel to still be able to see your anak, cucu, cicit at that age?wallahuallam...hanya nenek yang tahu... Raya ini, penuh dengan first time nyer....penuh dengan cerita sedara mara...penuh dengan gelak ketawa anak-anak aku..penuh dengan kolestrol dan lemak-lemak dari harisa kambing, stew kambing, rendang daging dan ntah haper-haper kuih muih yang penuh b...

It's funny how enthusiastic you can get when you have things in your mind that you want to shout out and tell the world. This blog for instance...It's my space to rant, to say out what I have in mind and to let go...I started typing fervently, almost carelessly. Type..type..type...wishing I don't have a care in this world but alas the draft will remain a draft. Surprisingly though I felt better....My words and sentences have freed me...well, to a certain extent... and I highlighted the whole paragraph and hit the delete button. This morning on the way to work, I called the gym to enquire whether I can swap the remaining PT sessions that I have into Pilates session. Budak tu kata nak call balik...haramz tak der... Lepas tu petang sikit I tried calling CIMB Aviva Takaful Assurance to enquire about my long overdue front wind shield yang dah retak...I got through the answering machine yang kena tekan the choices of services that we want and by the time someone picked up the phone, they cannot help because it's not their area and when they transfered me to another line...Haramz tak der orang angkat telefon. Last lah aku amek CIMB Aviva Takaful nih..Is there such thing called customer service, HARAMZ!!! Bengkek jer...Dah lah hari ni busy memanjang...campur pulak dengan masalah problem yang lain...Best giler hari ni!!!

The day started off just nice..I got in the office earlier than usual. I must say I had a good night sleep yesterday. Hmmm....it’s been some time since I had a restful sleep. Just wondering if it’s contributed by the fact that I had a very, very ultra light break fast. I should do this more often if that is the reason. Starting from my first meeting at almost 10am (walaupun boss kata meeting pukul 9.30am, tapi tak per lah sebab dia boss kan), the day went by like a whirlwind. I left the meeting towards the end of the meeting to see a client in KL. JAKEL is a retail outlet for carpets, fabric for clothing, curtains and upholstery, with an amazing collection of the goods. To think that MOHD JAKEL went into retail almost 10 years ago because of the country’s economic downturn, I am very impressed with what I saw in their outlet. Bangga giler orang kita dah excel in the business with 16 branches nationwide. Rows and rows of kain cantik-cantik...I wished I had the money to spend. Tambah- t...

Just got a call from Yee Mei, my gym instructor. She's leaving the gym!!! Abis tu aku macamana??? So far, that's twice that my PTs have resigned from the gym. Yee Mei said she wants to concentrate on her studies. She's going to recommend a new PT for me and the guy (guy??) will be in touch with me soon. I've a good mind to stop going to CF and change to another gym in Centerpoint once my private sessions are over. See how lah...

Budak Zaidah tu dah pregnant...I am very happy for her sebab kesian dia tiap-tiap kali orang jumpa dia semua tanya dia pregnant ke...and I think after some time, she decided to play along and answered she is. Now, it's really happening for good. The power of positive thinking. Berseri-seri aku tengok muka dia, when she came by my office to tell me and later I found out through her blog that I was the 6th person that she informed.Terharu seh... Zaidah, welcome to the mummy club! There will be a bit of adjustments to do..but it's all worth it. Take care...minum susu banyak (uwekkk!!!). Ok lah..there's always yoghurt, chocolate milk and calcium pills! Enjoy your pregnancy!

My day started at 4.45am when I woke up for sahur today. Came out of the house at 6.30am and went to the gym. This is the third time since Ramadan that I went to the gym. The sessions are low in intensity but I feel that I'm working the muscles more efficiently as the weights are lighter, I really push myself. Orang kata aku sikit giler...bulan-bulan pose pergi work out...hehehe...but I feel good on the days that I went to the gym cuma ngantuk sikit lah. Last week I went for yoga which was just as good. We did the welcoming hoohaa for the news team who finally moved to this office, 10 months after our team first relocated. The first news bulletin aired for the first time from the new studio at 1pm today. The 'picket board' that my collegue did for the welcoming party along with the ballons, whistles and all things noisy. Jasmin having "first day at the new set" jitters...she was actually shaking.. Selama nih aku ingat macam suka-suka tengok jer dia acting...tapi kalau dah sampai tahap pergi ke http://www.jamesmcavoy.com/ to check out his bios and all sampai blackberry gua panas...hmmm...musykil. There's something about this Scots that...ish tatau nak cakap ahhh...We watched the movie PENELOPE yesterday night...second time for Aisyah yang suka McAvoy kurang sikit jer dari Depp...Babe, jgn marahI love you more that McAvoy though... Anyway, back to McAvoy, I guess what attract me to him is that he has this underdog qualities that is endearing. He's not Cruise cute or Pitt dashing...but...aiyoh lost for words...and when he acts it's almost effortless. I've watch Atonement, Wanted, Becoming Jane, The Last King of Scotland. Siapa ada the old Band Of Brothers tak? He's in that one too.. The movie is cute...almost fairytale like; the kind that has a moral of the story at the end of it...Check it out if you like chick flick and James McAvoy!!!

Hari ni dah 9 hari Ramadan...aku jugak yang tak pergi sembahyang terawikh lagi...ish...ish apa nak jadi?? Zaim pun pergi surau...walaupun dia cuma dok diam (diam ker?) kat surau tunggu maid aku terawikh...Akak bila nak gi nih...I need some pep talk!!! Mak!!! Minggu lepas balik JB rumah Mak for the first day of Ramadan, syok giler. Walaupun everyday it rained...akak tetap girangs!! My sister and hubby came along with us in our small SUV tak MPV tuhh...Maximum capacity wei!! On Merdeka eve, my sis insisted that we go to dinner at Danga Bay. Punyerlah ramai manusia..tak tau datang dari ceruk kampung mana...Merdeka sungguh mereka ni... Macam-macam rupa..yang rempit, punk rockers, jinjang joe and not forgetting the 'hip' indons and 'happening abangla'. I don't think I can't last long hanging around there..M so getting old... Disebabkan akak masih dalam mode diet, jadi tak bolehlah kenduri makan macam selalu balik JB. Tapi mrasalah yong tau foo johor...

I've been mixing business with pleasure the past few work weeks. Some days I took day off from work to finish off my leave and book-off days. It's good knowing that you only need to go to work a lesser number of days sometimes... Needed the break.. Geng baju merah We went to PD last weekend. 3 families with 12 kids in between. Gosh! We had fun!! Tried out go karting at the Extreme Park (iiihhh...PD ada Extreme Park tau...which is a far cry from the last time I stayed in PD....). We stopped by the road side to wallop all the durians, pulasan and langsat we can eat in one sitting. Sukernyer Imran!! He's been begging for durians for the longest time...I didn't want the car to reek of the fruit though!! After 3 days of the swimming pool, finished almost one season of CHUCK that hubby downloaded onto his hard drive, guiltless eating we head back home but not before stopping at the beach where the kids had tons of pics taken. And lunch at PakLah Kopitiam in PD town, which...

So many things has been happening since my last postings. In between taking Aisyah, her friend Sarah and my 2 nephews from Abu Dhabi for a music gig in KL on Saturday ; taking the kids to the High School Musical Ice Tour on Sunday last weekend, a lot of stressful work situations happened as well...Sigh! The things I have to cope with... Not that I'm complaining..I love the fact that I have made the effort to connect with my nephews who we only see an average every 3 years. These boys are so nice and warm up to us immediately even after being apart, which is more than I can say from people we see on a daily basis. I guess we are guilty of taking people that we see on a regular basis for granted. Either that or the expectations are not clear. Whatever! We really enjoyed the HSM Ice tour show. I'm glad I gave tickets to Fizah and kids as well as my sister and Wan. When people feel good, I feel better!!! We launched a new drama series in Crowne Hotel KL last week. ...

I'm on Facebook, like everyone else these days. But you will hardly find me throwing pies, giving wolf bites or finding out if you are a good kisser...hahaha... I have found a lot of my high schoold friends, juniors and seniors on Facebook and one night last week while I was showing my sister the wonders of FB, on a whim, I just decided to look for George. And there he was, also on FB!! And I just added him that night. And on 3 days ago when I checked my FB, I received a message in my inbox from George!! George and Bobi , his wife came to stay with us in 1995, during the last leg of their world tour before they went back to Melbourne. George and his mom was my late husband's foster family while Ezral was in Sydney for his military college. We had such a wonderful time having both of them in our humble flat then for more than a week. They shared our food, enjoyed kaya on roti canai and brought Aisyah who were just 26 months along when they visited Petaling Street. We drov...

What a weekend it has been...I went to the Glenmarie office on Saturday with Imran. The chef that was supposed to do our cooking show decided to back-off close to production and I am sort of panicking that we could not find a host for the show as soon as possible.1...2... Jus! recording was going on in Studio 1 and Lin thought one of the celebrity artistes may just be the right chef for the cooking show. So we had a chat with him and he sounded promising and he can cook. Now, just to convince the bosses. Will be updating on that soon. Hubby's away for futsal the whole day...some tournament somewhere. At night when he came back went to Aisyah's school for the sembahyang hajat and prayers before the big exam. Khairin got her 'paycheck' for the Tv show that she did a few weeks back, so we convinced her to treat us to lunch today...hehehe... Hubby : Khairin, nak belanja ayah kat mana? Was in the gym at 7am for my workout yesterday morning. After last week's lower body work out which reconfirms my left knee problem, we are only sticking to upper body stuff now. Am on leave for my 2nd rehab session. And since I was on leave decided to invite my brother, Abg Wad and family for dinner before they go back to Abu Dhabi when the summer break is over. So from the gym, drop Kak Pah in the office and I was in Tesco by 8.45am...semangat tak??? Tesco tak bukak lagi okeh...So akak pun sempat tidoq dalam kereta tau... 2pm, went for my physio with Ju Inn in Pantai...I'm really beginning to enjoy Pilates. Then 3.15pm met Dr Pasu who showed me my knee MRI scan yang katanya nampak ok...tapi ada a small tear at the ligaments yang will heal in time..hey! you are the doctor man... I'll see you in 3 months or if I can't bear the pain, before that... Strong Liz Managed to squeeze a visit to my sis in law at block C...

My friend Angeline made her debut reading the Biz News on TV3 at 5.30pm today. I must say she did pretty good. We are all so proud of you, Cheen Chia!!!

Was on leave again yesterday. We went 'shopping' for a refinacing package for our house. Ended up going to 7 banks i.e Citibank, HSBC, Public Bank, Al Rajhi, EON Bank, CIMB and Maybank. Phew!!! Mari kita lihat siapa yang kena!!! Each one of them has their own advantage and disadvantage, so we are going to weigh the pros and cons of each and decide soon.. Singgah the office to wish Lin, happy birthday and also take the cupcakes that they saved for me from the celabration that I missed because I just can't get up as my sinus was acting up. Had to miss gym as well.. Today, pepagi buta dah pergi Pantai medical for my MRI scan... For results have to wait till Thursday when I see the doctor... Crossing my knees for the best..It's spring cleaning weekend again...All the mess after the house painting was cleared. Amir came to help hubby with the drilling and moving of furnitures and later the rest came for lunch and stayed until after Maghrib. Khairin had her cousi...
