Semalam saya pergi ke 'Kg. Nekmat'...


Semalam saya pegi KG NEKMAT...well..not really but Matrade convention center was completely transformed to become that kampung. When I received the invitation for Ning's wedding, I was really looking forward to go and I'm glad I did, if not to experience the whole scenario, to watch Ning and Omar enjoying their big day... Hubby was not in the mood to go so Imran came with me. Lin, Shannen and Kak Intan was already seated in the hall when we got there....Gosh!!! I was really, really impressed with the whole set-up. Betul-betul macam dalam kampung wedding, with goats, ayam, ikan keli dalam kolam, half the guests sitting on raised platforms...and even the menu was a complete kampung fare...

Ada my favorite ubi rebus makan dengan sambal tumis ikan bilis yang sangat world...got putu piring, apam balik, people cutting up jackfruit yang Imran ulang 2 kali amek...We ate nasi putih with gulai lemak cili api ikan, ada sambal goreng jawa, kerabu, beef curry, gulai udang tempoyak, sambal sotong...ish...just typing this make my mouth water..oh..A splendid job by Datin Faridah Hashim...always creative in her planning of her parties...I remember those days when she used to have the same concept for her Raya Open House...Masa tu siap ada angsa lagi...

Btw, Ning looked radiant next to her dashing Omar...Sempat sebelum balik we called her from the wooden bridge..yes there was a bridge in the middle of Kg Nekmat..and she waved ever so happily...Weddings always make me go ahhhhhh.....

Posting from Dreamland

We reached Bali yesterday afternoon at 3pm and was brought to Dreamland Villa that we have earlier booked at the Matta Fair. Mazlan was so nice to come down from his office to meet us briefly at LCCT. I miss his candid jokes and funny sarcasm.. We are now waiting for the shuttle to take us to Dreamland's private beach. After this morning's breakfast of "tak mahu babinya", we need to walk the food off on the beach. Dreamland has been a dream...We chose a private villa with a private pool that we managed to swim in as soon as we arrived yesterday. The beauty about private villas, is that you don't need to bother when you realised you have forgotten your swimming gear. Hey...be my guest and jump with your jeans on or in your birth suit!! We managed to check out Kuta Discovery Plaza yesterday night looking for a currency exchange. Lots of good stuff to see and will definitely revisit before we head home. Yesterday, I received an sms from one of my best friends, Umi, in JB. Umi : Aku nak tanya sikit boleh? Sebenarnya Faizal Tahir tu gorgeous tak? Me: Gorgeous ek...?
