Random Rambles of Lotfi

Yup, we are in Melaka already. We are staying in this modest apartment, Garden City, which is ok lar I guess.. Sent dad's wedding hantaran to Kelana Jaya this morning so that the hantaran can be done..Aww...shucks I forgot to take a photo of the cake. My friend Diyan made it for me, fruit cake with white fondant icing and butterflies plus gold coloured fondant ribbon...very simple and classy cake. Tomorrow is the akad nikah (solemnisation of marriage) ceremony. My bro in law will be driving the groom (my fathest thing for him to do is really, to remarry. At least, we are comforted by the fact that InsyaAllah, someone is around to take care of Dad. I can't help to think that we are 'selfish' people who would rather have him to ourselves, but alas like they said 'jodoh, pertemuan ditangan Tuhan'. We went to eat rice and the famous Melaka Assam Pedaas in Kota Laksamana for late lunch at 5pm just now. Asam pedas Johor lagi sedap lahhh!! Hehehe.. Then...

Just done a good 5km run around the block. I have to keep reminding myself over and over again usually after the 2nd km, to get back to bed early if I wanna have a steady pace. The current sleep pattern seems to be right before or just after the time is 1am in the morning. Must try harder. Yesterday, was the 2nd session of our umrah course...yes..Alhamdulillah we will making that holy trip to Mekah with the rest of the people from work who has registered to make the trip this year and Alhamdulillah, hubs, Aisyah and Imran will be going as well. I attended the NST Malaysia's CEO of The Year Award at KL Convex last night. This is the 15th instalment of the award and for the first time this year a lady CEO won the award. She is the CEO of KPJ Health Care. The event was very nicely done with a hotel ballroom set-up, without cheesy chandeliers, Patchi chocolates as door gifts, fine dining menu and the red carpet. Those who reads this blog would know that I am somewhat an 80s freak and kaki jiwang 90s music..So giler nak miss concert mukabayi nih...tiket free plak tu...haper lagi, walaupun busy, penat kerja punya pasal, tetap gigih nak g KL nak tengok concert u ols.. Nak masuk concert agak bengang ah...sebab dah siap bawak camera nak camwhoring...telah dicantas oleh security yang tetiba serious plak buat keje..Bebal wor! Sebab kebebalan satu lagi adalah bila show tak start on time...Lepas opening act, seorang penyanyi lelaki yang agak musykil bernama amende akak tak ingat...boy! you are so forgettable! dan seorang penyanyi bercita-cita tinggi meyanyi genre...
