Rambles from Melaka

Yup, we are in Melaka already. We are staying in this modest apartment, Garden City, which is ok lar I guess.. Sent dad's wedding hantaran to Kelana Jaya this morning so that the hantaran can be done..Aww...shucks I forgot to take a photo of the cake. My friend Diyan made it for me, fruit cake with white fondant icing and butterflies plus gold coloured fondant ribbon...very simple and classy cake.

Tomorrow is the akad nikah (solemnisation of marriage) ceremony. My bro in law will be driving the groom (my fathest thing for him to do is really, to remarry. At least, we are comforted by the fact that InsyaAllah, someone is around to take care of Dad. I can't help to think that we are 'selfish' people who would rather have him to ourselves, but alas like they said 'jodoh, pertemuan ditangan Tuhan'.

We went to eat rice and the famous Melaka Assam Pedaas in Kota Laksamana for late lunch at 5pm just now. Asam pedas Johor lagi sedap lahhh!! Hehehe..

Then we were in Dataran Pahlawan to shop for junk food, when my big sis called to say that they are near. After a few phone calls after not finding the way, they arrived in DP. My Mak and surprisingly, my sister in law from JB also tagged along. So good to see everyone again! Yeay!!

I was waiting for Long to pick out a pair of shoes in DP when I saw it!!! Beautiful!! I blogged about it a few months back here and today I saw it..in all its glory..in pink...Cantik, cantik!! Confirmed!!I want it!!! Musti!!

Hari ni sebenarnya mama lagi nervous dari Aisyah....walaupun bukan mama yang amek PMR dan result hari ni bukan results mama...I know that you have tried your best walaupun kadang-kadang mama cuak sebab bila masuk bilik Aisyah yang macam tempat kucing beranak tu...mama nampak either buku yang baca Aisyah or you will be reading with the radio on full blast or you will be smsing away instead of studying ( Aisyah kan RATU SMS...)The only thing I noticed a lot was you did more Maths work than I used to do when I was your age...which is a consolation for me coz I freaking hated Maths!! Mama pun risau sebab tak hantar Aisyah pergi tuition macam kawan-kawan Aisyah yang lain...the truth is... 1. I think you can excel without tuition: after all you did well for UPSR.. 2. I can spend that money on other stuff like taking you guys to McD, weekend outings, duit pergi gig, pergi RANTAI Aisyah, Mama dgn Ayah boleh pergi more date nights dan lain-lain lagi 3. 16 years ago today, I gave birth to my first child

Aisyah turned 16 today. At almost 12 midnight we brought out the birthday brownie and surprised her with sing song birthday song...and she cried!!! Kenapalah dia nangis ek??? Adakah kerana: 1. Dia sebenarnya tak suker brownies dan kalau boleh nak cheesecake? 2. She doesn't like turning 16 coz it makes her older and after this she can't cry anymore? 3. She's sad because mama and ayah is getting older, with her turning 16? 4. She was expecting to get her new LG phone, dan semalam dia cuma dapat suara Ayah menyanyi lagu Happy Birthday yang agak kureng melodinya? 5. Dia memang cepat menangis...sama dengan mama dia?? I think the closest answer is NO 5!! Like mama, like daughter lah...suka pun nangis, sedih lagi lah nangis kuat...ketawa pun boleh nangis...what to do? Runs in the blood lah... And Aisyah, you turning 16 does not make me feel older ...(mama in denial). In fact, this closer age gap, makes me feel even closer to you. And I always strive...
