I am Muslim too..

Managed to catch Zan Azlee's "I am Muslim too" screenings at Help Uni theatrette yesterday. Picked Aisyah up at home. She has this thing about anything indie; whether it's movie ka, docu ka, music ka..She has started to ask us for handycam and has already listed subject matters that she wants to shoot...Deal with that later lah..

Anyway, after getting lost trying to get to Help Uni and frantic calls to Zan and a few other people, we finally got there. Saw a few familiar faces. Amir Muhammad was there selling his books. We bought one " New Malaysian Essays 1' which he autographed for Aisyah and later he warned me about some 'foul' languages in the book....Matilah mak dah bayar baru cakap...hehehe. All that forgotten when I hear Amir's familiar laugh..One guy with the funniest laugh I've ever met...


The movie was, should I say quite interesting. Zan went to a few mid eastern countries to check out the Muslim lives there. There was this metal band he featured called Ahrames in Teheran which something so unexpected for Teheran?! Shows how we stereotyped people..


The only reservation I have about the movie was that it's too raw and candid for broadcasting standard...but Aisyah thinks it's fab! Anyway, good stuff Zan!! I wish I was younger to be able to do half the things you do...Matilah mak dah mengaku kertu...huwargh!!!

woi! u must check out SEAN LANGAN and SEAN MCALLISTER punye documentaries. lagi raw!! tapi BBC broadcasts them. the rawness is intentional lah. gonzo journalism mah!

My views are not not a personal view. I'm looking at it from our Malaysian audience perspective lah..I makan gaji jer ok...???

Posting from Dreamland

We reached Bali yesterday afternoon at 3pm and was brought to Dreamland Villa that we have earlier booked at the Matta Fair. Mazlan was so nice to come down from his office to meet us briefly at LCCT. I miss his candid jokes and funny sarcasm.. We are now waiting for the shuttle to take us to Dreamland's private beach. After this morning's breakfast of "tak mahu babinya", we need to walk the food off on the beach. Dreamland has been a dream...We chose a private villa with a private pool that we managed to swim in as soon as we arrived yesterday. The beauty about private villas, is that you don't need to bother when you realised you have forgotten your swimming gear. Hey...be my guest and jump with your jeans on or in your birth suit!! We managed to check out Kuta Discovery Plaza yesterday night looking for a currency exchange. Lots of good stuff to see and will definitely revisit before we head home. Yesterday, I received an sms from one of my best friends, Umi, in JB. Umi : Aku nak tanya sikit boleh? Sebenarnya Faizal Tahir tu gorgeous tak? Me: Gorgeous ek...? Well, let me put it this way...kalau dia bukan artiste...kau tak tengok 2 kali lah..hehehe.. Umi : Ye ke? But my freind went to AJL and she said Faizal Tahir tu gorgeous giler!!
