Entry past tense..katanya..
Uihhh…lama betul rasa tak update..My last posting was actually posted yesterday walau pun I started the rambles just after our screenings in the last week of November. Since then I have been very busy with stuff. A lil bit to do here and there make up the entire busy period of my life the last few weeks.
We managed a weekend away with my in-laws in PD which turned out to be fun and we made a pact to have more extended family trips in the future. Ancasa Suites and Spa, the apartment that we stayed at on the 2nd night was quite alright and the kids had a blast at the karaoke that night. Siap ada spa complete with piped in music typical of Bali nih.. I liked it better than The Eagle Ranch that we stayed at, on the 1st night, but being with family made up for it.
I had a chance to attend the Global Brand Forum late last week. It was an eye- opener. I especially the very inspiring Martin Linstrom and Oliver Stone…yes..that Oliver Stone, the director of Nixon, Born on the 4th of July and recently W. These 2 guys have attitude with a capital A. Tony Fernandes was interesting to listen to as well. Ivanka Trump was supposed to attend but we had to be satisfied with a hologram???? version of her. Ek???
Tapi ada pulak pengganti bidan terjunnya Malika Sherawat yang sebelum nih haram aku tak kenal pun…Ada pulak sorang attendee pompuan Sri Lanka yang dengan selambanya kata “ I do not think that you (Malika) are in the same league as Mr Oliver Stone to be sitting on the same stage” Wah…sungguh the mulut laserina kan?? Apa lagi dengan cantik dan pose maut cross legged ala Sharon Stonenya, Malika pun jawab “ I don’t think that I am in the same league as Mr Stone, I never said that, how can I who has only been in the business for only 4 years be in the same league as Mr Stone?? I am just so honoured to be able to be on the same stage as Mr. Stone” Very the jawapan Miss Universe kan, kan?? Drama seh!

And it was more her promoting Trump Organisation than anything else. Woi…kalau ada duit macam Trump nak buat apa-apa brand promotion tak payah nak fikir ler..and I guess a lot of the attendees actually felt the same way I did and a few did actually expresses their grievances. Perhaps it’s a good idea to tell the attendees not to expect Ivanka asap rather than disappoint them, huh?? Melepas jantan sumer nak tengok Ivanka Trump…

And I must mention Riz Khan of Al Jazeera, who is larger than life and an excellent mediator for the whole thing. I noticed that for the last 2 conferences that I've been to, there has been a lot of Bush bashing amongst the American speakers. I guess the same sentiment runs across the globe...
