Today I 'saw' her again...

Hi, the clock shows that it's 12.02am. I just got home from arwah Kak Min's office. Malam ni ada tahlil untuk arwah. It was attended by a small group of friends and family. Mak Inom and Pak Atan was also there, together with Datin Orkid and Datuk Dr Zahari, arwah's sister and brother in law plus a few more family members.

Leo Burnett was as nice as I remembered it. Soothing incandescent lighting combined with wood old school furniture was a good combination that makes an office just like home. And somehow we can feel semangat arwah in the office, after all it has only been less than 10 days since she was last there.

We reached LB just before maghrib but not without missing a turn, going through maze of back lanes and making an illegal U-turn. Nasib baik Azmin ada to show me through the roads...(Azmin - expert lorong-lorong belakang mati hahahaha :-). Betul lah orang kata, kalau nak buat benda elok tu...ada jer sangkaknya.

The Ustaz gave a short tazkirah after the magrib prayers, after which it was Yassin reciting followed by Isyak. I can hear sobs coming from some of the ladies...and when the doa was recited by the Ustaz, most of us just can't help ourselves. Sedih yang teramat...

After all the prayers, dinner was served...and the boys took the opportunity to have a tour of LB and Kak Min's room. Shikin and I went later...I was thinking "if this room could talk, it would be saying how much it's missing her, if the prayer mat could talk, it would be saying how much it misses her forehead on it, if her chair could talk, it would be saying how much...hmmm...miss apa ek...?? Kak Min selalu kata..."jamban baik"...hehehe...

Spoke to Encik Ali, who told us , after 25 years of working together, he doesn't know how he would get use to not having her around. Somehow, when we entered her room, it has lost its earlier charm...no offense to Encik Ali who now uses the room alone. But seriously macam dah tak ada aura ...Only the faint sound of the ayat-ayat suci Al-Quran gave us the much needed semangat while we were there.

And yes, today I saw her again...in the love that her parents share, in the funny, loving stories that the friends were sharing about her, in the cheerfulness of her sister, in the tears of Mak Inom.

Takziah buat Mak Inom dan Pak Atan yang tak henti-henti mintak maaf, mintak halal makan dan minum Kak Min. Semoga Arwah diletakkan di kalangan ahli jannah...
