Hey, another post...

I just thot that since I've been neglecting the blog for quite some time and since I have the advantage of time today, what the heck I'll just write another one...I am on leave from work since yesterday, although half the day yesterday I was in the office in meetings.. Today is loafing around the house day...nevertheless calls from work still comes in...look at the bright side...I'm still needed...

Work has been quite a handful with projects that never stops...hmmm..if they stop coming...tutuplah station ye tak? Thank goodness we have capable, young people in the team. Hey! I have a new boss...She came in last week and the new structure was announced on Friday. Mixed feelings from all in the room but as usual I always take changes positively...Afterall, I take this change as having an additional person to share the workload with..Phew...watch out what's coming, boss!!!

I've been working for a total of almost 14 years in total with breaks in between. I guess that's a pretty long time to somehow have gut feel about things, about people and about work in general. I read a good book by Mary Mitchell titled " Class Acts - How Good Manners Create Good Relationships and Good Relationships Create Good Business" and want to share some good stuff in it with you guys...because they are so true....

Mary Mitchell wrote " when I asked the clients, collegaues, and friends I admire most to share their most important lesson for the new millenium,nobody talked about acquiring more things, building their stock holdings, or spending more time at the office. All but a few of them spoke of the spiritual beauty of living a civil, successful and centered life: A CLASS ACT.

Dalam buku tuh, dia tulis that their answers seemed to form a collective prayer. Here's the checklist of lesson that she shares in the book, kengkawan... I changed a bit ikut suka hati aku lah...

Ya Allah, help me to remember :

to accept others for who and what the are, and how they add to my life.

not to jump to conclusions or judge others by my preconcerned notions.

that good relationships give me and other roots of stability and wings of creativity.

that my family comes before my job.

to trust my intuition and my heart; they always lead me home.

that the people I like the least always teach me the most.

to praise in public and to criticise in private.

not to allow the pace of change to overwhelm my humanity.

not to rush things through the steps of my life, no matter how difficult, but to savor each one.

that wealth has little to do with money, and that I cannot be poor if I am rich at heart.

to help others realise their dreams; in doing so, I will realise mine.

that I can make a big difference in this world by helping one person at a time.

how much strength in humility.

that young people's wisdom is important, and I can learn from it.

that my failures should inspire me, not defeat me.

that courage is what overcomes fear and that faith, not fear lives in my heart.

to appreciate the gift of robust health.

that ignorance is not the same as innocence.

that you really do catch more flies with honey than with vinegar. And the effort is always worth in the end.

that I can't always make people nice by being nicer to them, or fair by being fairer to them.

that the universe always inflict its will; as the future is truly uncertain, the present becomes more precious, more immediate, more delicious.

first and foremost, that kindness is the best currency, readily available and easy to dispense.

Ah...how truly inspiring...Apa susah2, we have to remember at the end of the day kita ni dok kerje dengan orang..and we just wanna get the work done properly. Don't sweat the small stuff and get all stressed up because of work.Mati cepat nanti...hehehehe...To my adik-adik in the office...(bukan hadek-hadek ok?)and also my colleagues, I don't know any better than you guys...but as long as we are in this together...we'll help each other float ok?? And think of that big fat bonus in April...Huwargh!!!
