Merdeka...came & go...uneventful...

Am at home. Long weekend at home. UPSR's on Monday. Imran tak pressure langsung nampaknya...good for him... we don't pressure him anyway. Hope for the best and my prayers for him so that his brain won't be jammed on exam days. Merdeka eve....I was in front of the telly watching the Merdeka countdown through Asam Garam Merdeka on ntv7.

We went to Tapah yesterday morning to hubby's aunt's house. Ada tahlil..ye lah ramadhan's coming. Jumpa opah and other relatives and we were home before 8 pm. Watched the coolest musical program also on ntv7, Nite Of Soulful Stars Merdeka Special with Sheila Majid, Datuk Shake, Anuar Zain, Juwita Suwito and Khatijah Ibrahim. Best, best, best. was sms'ing with AMG. He loved it, it surprised him that it was actually good. Siapa tak tengok, rugi...Not everyday, you see these talents on one stage.

This morning, Mak Ungku sms'ed early to invite us for breakfast. Uiiihhhh, laksa Johor...Best, best, best. That's my second laksa Johor in a period of 2 weeks. The other day kat rumah Mak...what luck!! Bukan senang nak dapat tau....

The rest of the day vegetated at home, nasib baik tak tumbuh sprouts.....They're watching this horror movie downstairs..Me, the faint hearted rather be up here... Tengok blog Amir...budak tu pergi jauh for Merdeka rupanyer...lucky him!!! Balik story ok?? and I HEART SHAMRIN's VOCALS tooo....

MERDEKA...for me...bila..
- semester break and no lectures and assignments to complete..
- boleh update blog macam nih...tak der orang kacau macam langau kat keliling...
- bila boss besar tak der, although I don't see him everyday...knowing that he's not around is good enuff
- a good, hot shower after working out at the gym..which is not often...sigh..
- curling up with a book or magazine, 1 hour is good enuff
- driving alone..singing my lungs out in the car..
- watching my babies sleep
- watching my hubby sleeps
Argghhhh...I need to sleep soon....what's MERDEKA for you?

Ohyeah mum ,it was so cool watching Asam Garam at home while everyone was at The Curve ogling over fireworks (note the tone of sarcasm). Hehehehehe ... The trip to Tapah took me by surprise . When it comes to last minute stf , our family rocks kan ? Ngehehee . AANNND , am I one of the langau-langau you're talking about ? -.-

Hari ni sebenarnya mama lagi nervous dari Aisyah....walaupun bukan mama yang amek PMR dan result hari ni bukan results mama...I know that you have tried your best walaupun kadang-kadang mama cuak sebab bila masuk bilik Aisyah yang macam tempat kucing beranak tu...mama nampak either buku yang baca Aisyah or you will be reading with the radio on full blast or you will be smsing away instead of studying ( Aisyah kan RATU SMS...)The only thing I noticed a lot was you did more Maths work than I used to do when I was your age...which is a consolation for me coz I freaking hated Maths!! Mama pun risau sebab tak hantar Aisyah pergi tuition macam kawan-kawan Aisyah yang lain...the truth is... 1. I think you can excel without tuition: after all you did well for UPSR.. 2. I can spend that money on other stuff like taking you guys to McD, weekend outings, duit pergi gig, pergi RANTAI Aisyah, Mama dgn Ayah boleh pergi more date nights dan lain-lain lagi 3. 16 years ago today, I gave birth to my first child

Aisyah turned 16 today. At almost 12 midnight we brought out the birthday brownie and surprised her with sing song birthday song...and she cried!!! Kenapalah dia nangis ek??? Adakah kerana: 1. Dia sebenarnya tak suker brownies dan kalau boleh nak cheesecake? 2. She doesn't like turning 16 coz it makes her older and after this she can't cry anymore? 3. She's sad because mama and ayah is getting older, with her turning 16? 4. She was expecting to get her new LG phone, dan semalam dia cuma dapat suara Ayah menyanyi lagu Happy Birthday yang agak kureng melodinya? 5. Dia memang cepat menangis...sama dengan mama dia?? I think the closest answer is NO 5!! Like mama, like daughter lah...suka pun nangis, sedih lagi lah nangis kuat...ketawa pun boleh nangis...what to do? Runs in the blood lah... And Aisyah, you turning 16 does not make me feel older ...(mama in denial). In fact, this closer age gap, makes me feel even closer to you. And I always strive...
