Election Day posting
Hubby woke me up early (well, at least for a Saturday) on Election Day. Aisyah has an early appointment with Dr Azmi, the neurologist at DSH. We have been going to Dr Azmi since last year for what started as ‘lazy right eye’. After a few blood test, CT scan and X Ray, he concluded that it was a condition called Mysthenia Gravis, where her antibodies are in excess and as a result some parts of her bodies may become weak. She has been put on medication which she probably has to take for the rest of her life. And today when I asked Dr Azmi, until when, he said “Only time will tell…” Sigh! And we’ll have to see him again in 3 months. In the mean time, I will keep on praying that Aisyah remains well and the condition does not affect her life significantly.

So, I drove together with Aisyah, Zaim and Khairin to a playground near my place and I managed to squeeze in 25 minutes of jogging…Hehehe! Sempat! Just in time, to pick hubby up. Lepas the nasi lemak dinner kita pergi rumah Yati, my sister in law. My father in law stays with her. Watched the election results ,noticed something amiss, so was smsing about work and spoke to several people, biggie boss included. Ish!!! Tunggu Monday lah settle…Nak menjawab dengan client lah plak!!!! Ish…My life is ‘so interesting’!!!!
In short, ( matilah dah tulis panjang-panjang ada plak summary, Salmah!)..This hot Saturday, I managed to:
1. Take Aisyah to DSH
2. Have nice brekkie at Puteri
3. Send hubby to vote
4. Vote myself
5. Visit Mummy and Daddy
6. Bring Abang for his haircut
7. Get Abang’s boots in SP and nice lunch at Subway
8. Masak Nasi Lemak yang agak sedap lah
9. Pergi jogging and at the same time, Khairin and Zaim gets to blow off steam while Aisyah snappy pics
10. Pick hubby up from the office
11. Visit Yati and my FIL , and watch Election results while half settling work problems
My day ends at almost 1.30am when I couldn’t keep my eyes opened in front of the telly, on this day when Samy Vellu, Shahrizat Jalil and Zainuddin Maidin (hik) lost their seats to the opposition. What a wakeup call to the Government. WAKE UP!!! PAK LAH!!! Kesian bebenor, aku tengok Koh Tsu Koon, bagi press conference.
Let’s see how the Government works for its Rakyat for the next 4 years before the next election. For me, my Saturday was fulfilling. I got so many things done…Mostly for the people I love. What’s not to be thankful for? Alhamdulillah…
After breakfast at Puteri in TTDI, we head to hubby’s office, where he has to finish of some work for the rest of the day. Upon reaching, noticed that his colleague tak sampai lagi so I suggested that he goes and cast his vote first sebab anyway dia kena tunggu the other guy before he can start work. At least tak lah menunggu kat office sengsorang. Amir pun kata nak pergi vote sesama. I, myself has a list of things to do. So sampai rumah Amir, I dropped him off while I rushed home to bring the packed breakfast from Puteri for the rest of the kids. Ni lah cerita anak ramai…hehehe…
When the kids are ready we headed to Kelana Jaya. Sampai umah mummy, they were not at home, so went to Sek Men Sri Permata (formerly called Sek Men Seaport, where hubby used to go), parked the car with the kids inside and akak dengan bangganya pergi menjalankan tanggungjawab sebagai seorang rakyat Malaysia…Ewah!!! The whole process from registering to actual casting of vote took me less than 5 minutes! Amazing! Which makes me wonder why the heck, people chose not to go out and vote citing “Lecehlah”, Orang ramailah”, “Malas beraturlah” and memacam lagi alasan lah…
Went back to Mummy’s house after voting. Nasib baik dia orang dah balik. We were there for almost an hour, after which bawak pulak abang pergi gunting rambut kat United, in SS3. It was a hot day..and we had to park a bit farther from the barber. Tapi the kids tak complain pun…baguih betul lah dia orang ni…Janji dapat berjalan…and dapat singgah 7-11 beli barang..Cheh!
Lepas United, abang nak beli football boots plak..Esok ada match katanyer..We have seen the boots last week in Sunway Pyramid so headed to SP. Parking was a breeze in SP with the new parking system. So convenient!! So we jenjalan in SP, got abang’s boots and had a wonderful lunch at Subway. By the time we got home ( and I sempat singgah pasar malam beli ikan , ayam bagai ok???) it has passed 5pm. Text hubby, kul berapa dia nak balik, dia kata belum lagi, so akak pun masak dulu lah. Nasi Lemak dgn sambal sotong dgn ayam goreng bagai…. Abis –abis masak and solat Asar..ish tengok jam baru pukul 6.15pm.
