I just don’t get it…what is the freaking problem? Don’t ask what the problem is , woman. Maybe there’s something freaking wrong with you? Maybe you did something that upsets them? Well, Sooorrrryyyyy!! Maybe it’s because you’re so happy that they just can’t stand it? Maybe it’s something you did OR something you didn’t do? Maybe your life is going hunky dory while theirs are spiraling down, down, down? Think, think, think….All the maybes….I’m going nuts….hmmm maybe they are just tired. Maybe things are not happening as they planned. Maybe they are afraid. Maybe they are feeling powerless. Maybe they missed their spinning class, missing the adrenaline rush. Maybe they found out they are gaining weight and it’s freaking them out. Talk to me friends. I’m done with the maybes…Unless I did something terribly wrong to you that don’t even deserved a forgiveness, I’m done thinking about things. You all are responsible for all that you are feeling…so don’t come to me with your sulking virus, y...

REVOLUSI AISYAH

Yesterday, I picked up Aisyah after work at the new Giant in Kota Damansara. She spent the day with a school friend watching HISTERIA?. Apa tu? Ntah, cerita baru katanya. After that we headed home as after Maghrib, I have to send her back to my office so she can take a ride with Shikin to go to my sister’s house in Kajang. My BIL is going out-station so my sis needs Aisyah to accompany her. AISYAH : Ma, new year 2009 ni Aisyah ada….hmmm.. ME : New year resolution? AISYAH : Resolution? Ahh…bolehlah…more like revolution… ME : What is it? AISYAH : New year ni Aisyah nak pakai tudung, insyallah… ME : O..k…bolehlah.. AISYAH : Giler, kawan Aisyah kat sekolah semua tak percaya….cakap…. Aisyah , kau nak pakai tudung??? Ina lagi best…kata kalau Kak Aisyah pakai tudung bagi semua t.shirt Kak Aisyah pada Ina…(gelak) ME : Pakai tudung boleh pakai t-shirt per..?? AISYAH : Tu la pasal… That was that…end of conversation. Aisyah dah ada REVOLUTIONnya…Mama bila lagi?? Huhuhu….

Nice easy weekend has passed Breakfast with the kids...2nd time in Village Park (yang sentiasa penuh) within 2 weeks. When Hubby craved for scones after Sunday's bout of rain...no regret there..this is the most delish scone you can find in Klang Valley.. Another work week, brainstroming in The Gardens Mid Valley...the hotel is impressive, The Spread was scrumptious. It was a very brain drying session for me that when I reached home all I wished I could do was just knock-off....drained, exhausted..zzzzzzzzzz........

Syoknya cuti!!

Uihhh…lama betul rasa tak update..My last posting was actually posted yesterday walau pun I started the rambles just after our screenings in the last week of November. Since then I have been very busy with stuff. A lil bit to do here and there make up the entire busy period of my life the last few weeks. We managed a weekend away with my in-laws in PD which turned out to be fun and we made a pact to have more extended family trips in the future. Ancasa Suites and Spa, the apartment that we stayed at on the 2nd night was quite alright and the kids had a blast at the karaoke that night. Siap ada spa complete with piped in music typical of Bali nih.. I liked it better than The Eagle Ranch that we stayed at, on the 1st night, but being with family made up for it. I had a chance to attend the Global Brand Forum late last week. It was an eye- opener. I especially the very inspiring Martin Linstrom and Oliver Stone…yes..that Oliver Stone, the director of Nixon, Born on the 4th of July and re...

Not 1 but 2 PCKs Spongebob I am at home, nursing a pain in my feet after a whole day in KL Convex for our annual screenings. This morning I arrived in KL Convex lambat sikit jer dari Indon cuci toilet dan abang security yang jaga pintu KL Convex tu tau...Yesterday, I was also there, till almost 11.45am for the dry run, rehearsals and all the running around. So the whole planning of the last few weeks, months culminated to this day. There are other key people in the team who had it worst than me. Some slept only an hour last night getting the final details in order. Today my duty was standing by the control center, together with a colleague in case anything goes wrong with the main MAC that holds the keynotes to the whole presentation. All this while, I thought it's so easy to just click, click, click away slide after another as the boss gives his presentation but not it isn't yer...It was nerve-wrecking even for us the back-ups, looking out for the right cues a...

Happy 40th Birthday

Image
We had an advance birthday celebration for hubby's birthday today. He's turning 40 tomorrow. Had dinner at Bubba Gum in The Curve and when we reached home did the whole sing song and gift giving bit! Zaim's take on presents are anything that are wrapped so a few days back he took whatever toys, marbles and other stuff he can get, wrapped them and presented those to his Ayah, which turned out to be very funny. Khairin wrote this for Ayah...... Date : 27th November (Your Birthday) To: My Sweet Medium* Sized Daddy From : Your Sweet Loving Daughter (3rd) Dear Daddy, I love u so much. I wish you a very happy birthday since it's your 40th birthday it's special cuz it ends with a zero (0). Everything is special when it comes to 10, 20 or 30. Am I right? Course I am. Ha ha ha * I know this cos' you wear medium sized shirts even Abang wears Large!!! Sincerely from, N.K Nur Khairin. Haha...I think she's quite sweet and I hope...

When I first started this blog, I sorta told myself that I would not blog about work. Things related to work, the office, and the bosses especially when you bitch about them is a no-no zone for me for fear of my word to be used against me. Macam ler the boys on the 5th floor ada time nak baca blog-blog ciput nih. They have other pressing issues to think about lah.. So all this while I’ve been really touching things on the surface, telling you things about the fun stuff that we do at work, the events, our new programs (aku kerje TV lah)..macam korang tak tau….Today, our biggie boss announced our new CEO since our last CEO left last week…Eh! I didn’t blog about that meh?? Can’t believe I missed that one out. So today, for the first time in the history of the company, the management has decided to assign a female, girl, woman CEO for our company. So what? So what…u said?? So this is like a freaking first ok? The first CEO who’s not a MAN it’s a WOMAN with a WO at the front of MAN you kno...

Tengok kartun pun nangis???

Image
If you have kids like me, Madagascar adalah cerita wayang wajib tonton especially cuti-cuti sekolah nih bila kepala budak-budak nak naik pecah sebab boring habis sebab tatau apa nak buat. Engkorang dah tengok? Today we managed to catch it after our brunch at kway teow aunty gemuk in Kelana Jaya. It was a fun movie...good laugh... but cry?? Aku nih cakap boss aku, mamat jiwang yang suka lagu pop cintan dan rasa semua movie cinta cerita dia sendiri, kan Zaida??? Tapi aku tengok cerita kartun boleh nangis, paham tak Salmah?? It's a case of art imitating life, where one character Marty Melman The Zebra Giraffe itu yang bila tahu dirinya dah nak kujat in less then 48 hours baru sebok2 nak mencurahkan cintanya pada sigedempol Gloria The Hippo, badak pohan (perempuan) berbulu mata lentik berbadan size extra large seperti kata Moto Moto (btw, this means HOT HOT) badak jejantan yang baru nak masuk daun tetapi sangat LAME! Jadi dalam kedesperatan di zirafah itu sebab mengetahui yang...

Sink antik The Chamber Signage antik The staircase to the upper floor of The Chamber The Art House - It was Singapore's first court house and former parliament house that has been turned into an arts and heritage venue. The main area where our conference was held was aptly called "The Chamber", where the original seating pews and "no noise" signage was kept in tact. The additional enhancement was the state of the art sound and lighting system which would put a lot of our LIVE award shows to shame!! Kg Glam (Gelam yer, bukan GLAM ) area..has been restored and turned into a commercial area with lotsa souvenir shops and coffee places.. Masjid Sultan When I was in Singapore what struck me about the city, was although you can see sky scrapers, modern building all around, you can also see a lot of old buildings being preserved and done up nicely to fit into the modern environment...Why l...

Some pix from my recent trip....With all this going green hoohaa I thought Singapore would go easy on the Xmas lights stuff but no it isn't yer...the lights were up as usual and we took advantage of their ignorance by taking lots of pics on Orchard Road...never mind green gas emissions for now..I guess...

CONGRADUATIONS!!!

Image
21 November 2008. This date yesterday would be a significant milestone in my life. After a 5 years period of attending classes, assignments, class projects etc, etc, etc…I finally graduated with upper 2nd class honours in PR. Most of my classmates that I started out with 5 years ago were with me yesterday. A lot of people ask why with my work experience I wasted 5 years doing a degree when I could’ve gone straight to do my Masters….well to tell you the truth when I first started I didn’t know that it was possible and after going through 5 years I have absolutely no regrets. What I have gained in knowledge and friendship for the last few years beats all the hardship of last minutes assignments, late nights cramming before the exams and all the time away from my family. The experience of life would not have been the same if I were to go to Uni right after school...Gosh! To just think of it and think of all the could've been and I wouldn't do it any other way. And all...

I am so heading home!!

Heya!! Greetings from Singapore. M now at Changi Airport waiting for my flight at 1.45pm. It has quite a mentally tiring 3 days, what with Lin's neverending shopping...no offence Lin..I really enjoyed entertaining you. This friend of mine is like a 7 year old trapped in a 30 plus body when it comes to shopping. Anything and everything intrigues her and it has been fun. Didn't shop much, it being more of a working trip. And work had been interesting. I have learn quite a bit in these 2 days. Teh speakers have been inspiring, full of ideas and as some of them say so themselves...@#!@!# good!!!! They brought with them a tremendous amount of experience about marketing, branding and on-air promotions and I can't believe some people at the office had given this a miss.. I'd go again anytime.. Missing the people at home tremendously!! Will write more!!!

Pre-Singapore post...kali ke berapa ya....???!!!

Kerana saya akan bertolak ke kota Singa dalam beberapa jam lagi, jadi saya rasa macam ok lah kalau nak post buat kali ke 2 hari nih...Blog aku, suka hati aku lah...hehehe... I will miss writing for the next few days, walaupun sebelum nih pernah berminggu-minggu tak memblog...(macam real jer will miss blogging).

I AM tired..

The past 2 weeks have been one of the busiest work weeks that I have had, not that other weeks were any better. Our yearly MPB Screenings will be taking place on this coming 28th November. This is the mother of all events (among many others..who am I kiddin??) for the group. Me and my colleague, budak kecik, Shahril tu sits...sometimes stands and almost always ran up and down, trying to get things done for THE DAY...not that it's our choice lah kan... Up till yesterday, we sat down with the editor, producer, graphic editor to get our show reel yang ala-ala tak sampai 3 minit tu right for the show. How do you get the essence of the brand right in just 3 minutes? How do you ensure that the audience that watches the showreel understand what the brand is all about? How do 2 minutes of footages gives the audience enough interest to be asking for more? That's the challenge... This morning, yes..had to be in the office by 9am on a Saturday morning, we showed the biggie ...

Singapore...sini saya datang...here I come!!

I am looking forward to Singapore this weekend although I will miss my babies lots...my big babies, small babies...sumerlah..! Will be away for 4 days..huhuhu... 3 mak dara di Jakarta I will be attending a conference but at the same time Lin and Shikin would be joining me there sebab mereka nak shopping-shopping JIMAT Singapura. They will be taking a bus there and will be meeting me just a soon as I landed via Changi on Sunday. The prospect of mengulang sejarah with Lin and Shikin in Jakarta kat Singapore pulak sounds like fun although saya akan bertungkus lumus menghadiri conference half of my trip there but I will have them around after my conference. Tapi itu pun kalau Lin tak hilang akal bershopping sakan dan meninggalkan saya duduk sorang-sorang kat hotel di Orchard Road itu...Huhuhu... PromaxDBA Asia should be very interesting with talks like " The Secret Life Of The Simpsons The Stories They Didn’t Want You To Hear by Mike Reiss, Write With Balls by Linda Butto...

Nenek was also there and she really enjoyed the nasi beriani and the birthday cake. To live to be a 103 and to be able to still enjoy your food is amazing!! On Sunday, Anis sent an sms to say that she has given birth at 10.41am that day..Haha..finally! A new baby boy for her!! Congrats dear!! You ARE one of the most beautiful pregnant women I've known! She was at least 6 months preggie when this was taken...
